    Shouldn't have given full control of regulations to the FIA. That's the biggest mistake imo. FIA is downright retarded nowadays, and they've defeated the idea of bringing F1 to the masses. Last time I watched a race, I was there for the 2014 Sepang GP. That was it. The A1 GP I at Sepang which I was also there for just a couple years earlier was wayyy more exciting. Never watched another F1 race since. It's become so dull and boring. The FIA is just a circlejerk of deluded people in echo chambers of what _they_ think good ideas are. Why can't they just plop their heads out their asses and make it exciting like it used to be...

    with the idea that young men as young as 17 can handle a F1 car then to me they are not hard enough to drive, I watch your excellent video on the crazy rallying and your comment that the drivers brains/eyes could not keep up with the speed of the cars thus could have tunnel focus thus the danger....F1 to me should be like that, I remember Nigel (Mansell) often absolutely knackered after a race and now, if the cars were really as challenging as that with modern safety - then that is how I see F1 should be.

    • @RichardMcLaren

    • @adamspevack8939
      @adamspevack8939 15 часов назад

      @@RichardMcLaren fair enough that's your view...but for me the cars are on a knife edge and that it is a challenge to extract every ounce of skill to drive them, separates these drivers from the most of us, if a 17 year old can drive one, then maybe this is not the case....anyway if I had my way, I would have the cars shape wise, closer to those in the 60's with the modern protection where they were smaller and because of i.e thinner tyres and less downforce, they could drift and slide the cars and 2-3 abreast so the older circuits still were relevant ,,,but that is me and my understanding, yours is fair enough, but different..hey ho, the fun of being audience and knowing what is best from the view of an armchair watcher...

    Rindt very probably would have survived, even walked away, if he hadn't for some reason refused to do up his crotch straps. This failure meant that when his car hit the barrier he 'submarined' - slid down - resulting in one of his feet being torn off and the other horribly damaged due to the hole caused by the front being torn off when the low nosed car went under the barrier. Most crucially, his throat was fatally cut by the belt buckle as he slid down. You can actually see he's submarining in the only (known) film of the crash, shown here (there are clearer copies around). The film starts during the crash, not at the beginning of it, though there's a still photo of the exact moment he struck the barrier.

    I think it's majority's opinion what mattered, most of people just wanted group B to continue and after that big crash as Audi pulled out and people were sad, the opinion changed. It's called experience learning, the learning that is more monkey way than logical predicting and also simpler people then learn that it's dangerous. Enough people changed their mind and things changed. It's still the case, majority's opinion is the way things go. Average IQ in 1980 was under 80 if compared to today's test, we have improved a lot.

    It's actually really possible if you consider the amount of F1 drivers there were in F1. So I honestly think you are kind of wrong in a way. The same way that the NBA is hard to get in but there is still a number of people that make it. But when you consider it to the worlds population, yeah its a little amount. And if you think about something deeply like on how hard it is to become an F1 driver, you are kind of instilling the wrong attitude, mentality, and mindset. Just like if you think about death deeply since it is all our fates, the way you view life changes and you are overcomplicating it. Being determined and putting your goal and mind to something is gonna help you on the way to becoming an F1 driver. Just how Conor McGregor 2x UFC Champ always envisioned himself being the champion which changed the way he acted, talked, into an actual UFC champ. And in the end he won 2 championships in 2 different divisions. I have nothing against this video since this makes you realize you need to be realistic just like thinking you are gonna make it to the big leagues of a popular sport if you have a lot of problems or live in poverty. It doesn't mean that you can't make it into where ever you wanna be, it just makes it harder for you to get there. But on the other side, I feel like you would be giving people the wrong thinking and mindset as a person that would want to be an F1 Driver one day. But the video is honestly overall really good and it just makes you be real with yourself and makes you think realistically if you wanted to be something(in this case an F1 Driver) and the chances of you making it as an F1 Driver and especially a successful one is slim to none. And if you also wanna make the point that money is gonna be a problem because not everyone is gonna have that money, you are also making the point that the chances of making it as an F1 Driver increases as there are also a lot of rich people. But then you take in the factor that most kids of rich people would probably not wanna be an F1 Driver and make money or even more through a different way or occupation. Be realistic with yourself but at the same time have a resilient and determined mindset.
